In love with a refrigerator…
Joanna, of the appropriately titled Joanna’s food, has confessed, in the first line of her most recent post How DO you say Miele?, to being smitten with a refrigerator, “Most inconveniently, I’ve fallen in love – preposterously, with a fridge.”
How did this happen? It began with a sink on the Good Food Show stage that belonged to “the pantomime dame that is James Martin spinning sugar out of a pan, his patter awash with doubles entendres, the audience screaming with delight – not the children, grown women (some of whom clearly thought they were about to see the Chippendales).” Clearly it was a charged atmosphere. So this sink, well, Joanna wanted to know whether it was real, something she was able to do after being invited onto the stage after the show. For the answer, you’ll need to read her post.
Back to the fridge. Descending from the stage she wandered its way, “the fridge beckoned: it’s got more lights than the third runway at Heathrow, you’d never lose anything in there.” Unfortunately, before snapping a photo of the gleaming monolith a member of Gordon’s team (yes, that Gordon) elbowed her out of the way! Shocking.
So what do we know of this mystery fridge… It was a Miele (rhymes with dealer, in case you were wondering).
