More action from The Good Food Show

Yesterday we heard about how Kits fared at The Good Food Show (GFS) in Birmingham and today there is more, this time from Anne’s Kitchen who attended the GFS at the previous venue to hold the extravaganza – Olympia. We’ve already featured the reaction to the day from The Sugar Bar and Sunita’s World, but now we’re going to concentrate on Anne who was most pleased to have the chance to head to the show as a guest of Miele.

Anne - InventionTest

First up was Masterchef Live and the invention test. About 30 contestants took part, all getting to present their dishes to Masterchef champs Mat Follas (above) and Steve Groves. Anne decided against taking part,

“Miele had given us the opportunity to take part I but politely declined as I was far too terrified of looking like an idiot; I love cooking, as you may have guessed by now, but I like to cook at my own pace and had previously agreed with close friends that it would be potentially a disaster and I would probably either burn myself of set something alight!! Well done to all the other brave souls who went up!”

Brave souls indeed! Anne’s post on the event is full of photos and further thoughts under the headings, The Food, The Stalls and Liquid Lunch, which includes this,

“The alcohol sampling was far too tempting to resist this time around, I had previously driven to the other Good Food shows so I didn’t have chance to try before but luckily with this show being in London, it was easier to go by tube and be collected by the boyfriend after. A good job too as felt mildly sozzled by the end!”

Anne - Crabbies

That’s what it’s there for! Joking aside though, Anne has given great coverage of what was available in liquid format at the show and it is well worth a read, especially if your looking for Christmas gifts of an alcoholic variety.

As I’ve said there is plenty to get your teeth into (excuse the pun) in Anne’s full post, so click through and have your appetite whetted! And it doesn’t stop there,

“Fortunately the enjoyment of the day doesn’t end at the show, I picked up a copy of the show guide, which also features a good selection of recipes which I am hoping to make and blog soon.”

We can’t wait!
