The calm before the fashionable storm

Tomorrow evening the Forever Better team and a group of lucky bloggers (and competition winners!) are off to Jasper Garvidas catwalk show, which will be showcasing his 2010 Autumn/Winter collection.

Jasper is a familiar name to many, having won project catwalk in 2008 and previously being employed by a string of well known high street stores to design fashionable clothing for their range.

As many of you may know, Miele are the official sponsors of Jasper Garvida, who appreciates how important good garment care really is!

Here at Forever Better, we’re all feeling quite ecstatic about seeing Jaspers beautiful creations up close, a feeling that is shared by one of our guests, from 40notout, who has written a post detailing how excited she is -

“This is a big deal for a girl like me and just like a certain fellow fashion blogger who has also received some invites and hasn’t told anyone, I was shocked and overwhelmed to actually receive them. It’s the stuff that dreams are made of, well my dreams at least and to say I’m excited would be the understatement of the year!”

ECG finds a Miele bargain!

ECG has found a super deal on a Miele Tumble Dryer, and in sharing her discovery with pals at the hotukdeals.com forum has stoked up some debate about the Miele brand as a whole. After all, as she points out, “you cannot beat Miele for build quality”.

XxGunnersxX agrees stating that he is going to let his “[other brand machine] go bang and when it does get a Miele, no 5 year warranty to pay!” RSteve suggests “Boiling hot [offer], excellent price and excellent brand that’ll last for years”.

You can read the whole discussion over on hotukdeals.com, which Patti rounds up nicely below, “I have a Miele washing machine and dishwasher, they are so worth the extra money. I have had the Dishwasher 15 years and the washing machine 10 years and I have never had to get either repaired. No rust on either of them.”

24 out of 25 cats (and probably dogs) ‘5 star’ recommend this Miele vacuum

A five star consumer review is always particularly useful when looking for a household appliance – but when 24 of the 25 reviews submitted about the Miele Cat & Dog are all 5 stars (and the 25^th is a 4/5) one may be forgiven for thinking they are on to a particularly fine thing!

Taking a few quotes from the gang of delighted users, Richard from Cheshire suggests “This product really is top class value for money”, while Sue from Nottinghamshire agrees that “it is the perfect choice as it does what it says it will do on the blurb and does not disappoint as it seems so many other products do these days.”

Bluebell from London meanwhile says “This [vacuum] is in one word BRILLIANT”, leaving Carl from Manchester to sum it up, admitting “I don’t have a bad word to say about it!” See all the reviews over here.

Miele Cat & Dog vacuum – ‘too good a deal not to post’

Ferf1223 has recently purchased a Miele S7260 Cat & Dog vacuum cleaner, and having found a great deal felt the need to post about it on hotukdeals.com. It has provoked plenty of comments too.

Greatminds, obviously not a pet owner, questioned “Why would you want to vacuum a cat and dog?” while jaydeeuk1 suggested “We have a different model Miele. Brilliant piece of kit, far better than [another brand]”. Sponge too says “This is a great deal and hopefully others will be able to benefit too. If I didn’t already have a Miele vacuum, I’d be getting this one.”

Back to Ferf1223 though – who finishes up stating “In addition to how well it seems to pick up the cat hair, we’re also really impressed at how much fluffier the carpet feels – and it was my husband who first pointed it out…so you know it must be true.” Read the full conversation here.
