Cathrin has a problem with bagless vacuums
Cathrin at Digital Spy suffers from allergies and therefore is a little sceptical about having to empty a bagless vacuum. As Fear_Factor calls it, ‘the dust-face’ could be a problem.
The response from the community members has seen quite a few recommendations for Miele when it comes to a vacuum with a bag. DEmmerson and Norbitonite both agree Miele is the way to go and mention the sliding shut off the bags have to stop dust escaping during the changing of bags. It is this that seems to have won over Cathrin,
“Ah, I like the sound of that sliding shutoff thing!
Guess I’ll have to save up for a Miele then. I know they’re pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for!
Thanks again for the replies.

Would you reconsider your washing machine purchase?
One would imagine with a name like MrMoneybags his cleaner does the laundry, but since posting about his broken appliances on Digital Spy, said forum member has received a number of Miele washing machine recommendations.
Ellie666 says “if you don’t mind the extra initial cost then Siemens or Miele are just fantastic” – whilst IWantPVR makes an interesting point suggesting that although they didn’t buy one the first time, “If I bought again and had more to spend and a bigger family I’d look at a Miele.
If you had the chance to reconsider your washing machine purchase would you? Or are you happy with what you’ve bought?
Will Miele make this fellow a happy chappy?
“Can anyone recommend me a new vacuum cleaner” asks HappyChappy on Digital Spy – and sharing his preference for a good allergen filter, agentz is quick to respond. “Can’t recommend Miele vacuum cleaners enough – this one has full HEPA filtration and is pretty powerful. Is the updated version of the one we’ve had for about six years now and it copes with our two cats, two kids and a very hairy German Shepherd dog no problem at all.”
Vanillapod agrees, stating “I’ve had a Miele for 13 years and it’s great. Excellent quality, good attachments and it’s always behaved”, leaving the originator of the conversation to conclude “Think I’ll have a closer look at the Bosch and Miele ones”. Conversation continues on the forum though, so pop over and get involved.
Pet fans looking to clean house
“Hi pet fans” begins technology_love on digitalspy.co.uk who is looking for a vacuum cleaner that does a good job sucking up pet hair. Dmwat is quick to respond, suggesting that “Miele cat & Dog, I’ve had it about 10 years and it’s great with cat and dog hairs”, while Druid_uk suggests that it is “cheaper than Dyson, more powerful and better review in Which?”
“Miele is a great brand and will beat all [another brand] products not just vacuums. I have had the Miele cat and dog for years now after trying countless others and would not consider changing” says max25. The jury is still out though, so make your opinions heard over on Digital Spy.
