Slarti pleased with his KFN 12923 SD fridge freezer
Slarti is a contributor to the The Motely Fool discussion board and, after taking advice from fellow members, purchased a Miele KFN 12923 SD fridge freezer. He’s pleased with his choice,
“We had the device delivered some time ago and, so far are happy with it. One of the reasons that we went with Miele was that the Which? appliance survey (of members) consistently shows them to survive better than their rivals.”
The whole journey to purchase began on the thread in November and after advice from the forum he’s now a Miele owner. Others on the thread include Redsturgeon and BeaglesEnd, the latter passing on feedback he had from Miele customers while working as an electrician for an independent appliance repair company.

Oh my, more Miele
Meemalee’s Kitchen has given her verdict on the day away at the Miele Experience Centre in Abingdon that took place last Saturday. Joining other bloggers she had quite a time and even developed a little bit of a crush.
Currently Meemalee’s kitchen’s bright (brown) centre is a fridge/freezer pair made by a company that now it seems only make lawnmowers… However, she loves them dearly, yet, there is now a competitor for her affection – the Miele MasterCool.
“The new object of my desire? A Miele MasterCool fridge freezer - the size of a walk-in wardrobe and just as alluring. […] Apart from being enormous and beautiful, the MasterCool has four independent cooling zones which means fruit, veg, dairy and meat can be put in different sections optimized to keep each as fresh as possible.”
However, it was the in-door ice dispenser that she really yearned for. And she wasn’t alone, with @chocolateguide also a little bit smitten judging by the above image…
All this aside though there was plenty more going on that helped distract Meemalee, and it’s all in her post ‘Making a Miele of it’. There are coffee facts, details of Dave’s (of Hairy Biker fame) mega-Miele kitchen, ‘gizmo’ coverage involving a cast iron open grill and a salamander broiler – there is even a mention of the Didcot Totem!
It’s a great post (much like the Didcot Totem - sorry) showing what Miele is all about and how ForeverBetter can get you involved with the brand. If you’d like to be part of what we do, drop an email to Claire or send us over a tweet. We’d love to hear from you.
OutdoorsMagic on washing machines
OutdoorsMagic, a forum designed to bring outdoor enthusiasts together, has been discussing washing machines. It all began when Metric Kate asked about replacing her old machine.
There are a couple of pages worth of responses and amongst them is support for a variety of brands including Miele. The first contributor to bring them up is Mr Sworld, an owner of a Miele fridge/freezer, dishwasher and vacuum,
“Splash the cash and buy a Miele, still a family owned company, German engineering and they last forever! They will give you 20 year guarantees!”
His recommendation is echoed by user david creighton, and Colm ab Ifan cites the Which? surveys as his reason for choosing Miele. Where as rob s puts in rather plain English,
“Go Miele they are the mutt’s nuts, my parents is over 10 years old, in a hard water area and going strong. At Uni one of my house mates brought along a 20 year old one and it lasted the 2 years of abuse we gave it, we own one and it’s great.”

Miele fridge in your motorhome?
Mauramac is on the look out for “a tall, larder style fridge, no freezer needed” and has turned to http://www.motorhomefacts.com for help. Richardjames was quick to respond, suggesting “the best is Miele - all my washing and drying machines are Miele who apparently build them to last at least 25 years. I will be replacing my Bosch with Miele”
Research pays dividends too, with Mauramac revealing that “Which report said that Miele came out top of their survey for customer satisfaction” – DTPchemicals meanwhile agrees that the Miele is “a better made unit than the others which are infiltrated by poor Chinese quality” while citroennut has taken the step of “gradually replacing white goods as they fail with Miele”.
Anyone else with any thoughts should head over to the thread and have their say.
Miele Good Food Show - and this time there’s wine!
Another day, another host of interesting posts delivered about the recent Miele-sponsored adventure at The Good Food show – from wine samples by the bucketload to hob-nobbing with celebrity chefs, causing no end of jealousy to those who weren’t there: blog commenters and this correspondent alike!
Sylvie from A Pot of Tea and a Biscuit was particularly impressed with the free samples, as well as the Miele products on display “We [went] for an introduction to a range of fantastic Miele appliances, which left me wanting a new fridge, a new cooker and a steam oven”. Naomi from Milk for the Morning Cake was particularly impressed with the producer’s village “Like a breath of fresh air, the real food shone with authenticity”.
Jan from What do I Want to Cook Today was impressed with the “absolutely fantastic range of Miele kitchen appliances. Miele steam ovens are just amazing - we all wanted one”. She enjoyed the wine samples too, as long as she never drunk more than a glass of course!
