Vacuum cleaner advice on MSE

If you’re looking for vacuum cleaner advice you’re not alone. Emcwill is doing exactly the same on Money Saving Expert and his request for help has generated almost two pages of responses. It has all sorts of suggestions to help him replace his current model that has succumbed to a faulty ‘on’ switch.

In amongst the discussion are mentions of Miele. Chalkysoil has a selection of vacuums including,

“A Miele cylinder which has expensive bags but has worked for years and will probably never die.”

And Ali-t is a fan of the brand too,

“I am a total Miele convert now. Enough suction to feel like you are getting a major workout when [vacuuming] deep pile carpets at top power and makes doing the hard floors a 2 minute job – fabulous!”

Volkszone user needs a spare part…

Understandably you may think that the request for a spare part in the Volkszone forum would be required to repair an old Beetle – not so, in this case at least. North_Manchester needs a part for his Miele dishwasher,

Jumping straight into help are a number of fellow contributors, among whom is Nippyhippy offering Miele as a good port of call for help,

“Try Miele themselves, they’re fantastic for aftersales service.”

Miele’s Lucy Webb leaves Albert beaming

A quick update from the comments section of Forever Better, and specifically a comment left in the last few days by Albert Topliss on last September’s post ‘More praise for Miele Customer Service’.

You can see his full comment over here detailing his dealings with Miele’s Lucy Webb – but to summarise, he “was overwhelmed by the tremendous efforts that she made to ensure that we found our exact requirements, which enabled us to go ahead with confidence to choose the best model for our purpose”.
