Brief encounters – Miele Hepa 5280 vacuum cleaner review
“This is undoubtedly the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned” opens Azana in her review of the Miele Hepa 5280 over on Dooyoo.
Having owned several other brands in the past and most recently a Dyson, she took the now well-travelled path of reading online reviews including Which? before making her purchase and she’s not been disappointed during the first six months of use: “Easy to manouvere, quiet and quite simply does the job beautifully” is how she describes ownership, highlighting the Hepa’s ‘quiet’ setting as ideal for vacuuming without waking the rest of the house.
With the three attachments housed in the body of the machine and a generous ten metre power cord, the 5280 “glides beautifully” her only “slight criticism” being “the bag change indicator is rather erratic”. Despite this little niggle she calls it “a pleasure to vacuum with this machine, as much as such a menial everyday task can be, anyway” and “really does live up to the hype”.
Concluding her testimonial by thinking of the day she ultimately has to replace the 5280 she comments that it will “definately be another Miele”. Pop over to Dooyoo and read her review in full.
A good vacuum for allergy sufferers?
Happy_Chappy has decided that the time has come for a new vacuum cleaner and he’s asking for recommendations over at Digital Spy. He prefers a cylinder model to an upright and he’d like it to have “a good allergen filter”.
After several suggestions StressMonkey strongly recommends the Miele Hepa 5280 – “without a doubt the best vacuum I’ve ever had by a very long way”. He’s also had experience of using his mother’s Dyson and when comparing the two states: “Miele wins hands down”. He praises the Hepa for being “Powerful, light, [and] compact” as well as tidying away easily, having useful attachments, an adjustable hose plus making “short work of pet hair”. He likes it so much that he (almost) vacuums for fun!
Happy_Chappy is also considering the Miele S4281 as it “came top for Which? best buy” and has many good reviews after which msjj also chips in, mentioning: “I have a Miele I swear by, rather than at”. Head over to read the full thread, and let Happy_Chappy know what you think.
