On Friday we posted a brief round-up of our London Fashion Weekend event. Now that our guests have had time to rest weary legs and digest the events of the day, the first of the retrospectives from the attendees have now been published on their respective blogs.
Fashion Stylist Kate from Made Do And Mend, has posted the first of her thoughts including experiencing the rose petal test for herself, the W3922, Miele’s famous stocking test and the “sheer bliss for me to discuss washing machines, vacuum cleaners and even cooking utensils.”
Rather than spoil it for everyone by quoting her at length, pop over to her blog and see for yourself.

Rose petals in a washing machine? – A potential disaster I’d say, but as a team of stylish bloggers who attended London Fashion Weekend with us could yesterday attest, not if one’s name is Miele. Impressed by the designers on display and the odd glass of champagne thrown in, Helene from The Luxe Chronicles takes up the story of ‘The Rose Test’…
“The lovely marketing team from Miele had each guest/fashion blogger throw in an actual rose into a Miele washing machine to demonstrate just how delicate Miele’s technology is on even the most delicate of your precious fashion treasures.” And lo, Little Miss Rachel noted that “the new cold wash short silk cycle was so gentle that the roses came out beautifully” – although, also nothing that it looked so incongruous though, delicate flowers in a machine, that she stopped to take some photos:

Kate from Make do and Mend seemed to have some fun too… “During the breakfast my style booker phoned me to clarify some dates in the diary. She knew I was at the Miele event so asked if I was having fun. Of course I was after two glasses of champagne - I hope she didn’t hear the PR correcting me firmly in the background saying ‘you’ve had three.’ Technically I’d had 2 and was on my third.” Ahem – keep an eye on her blog for more reports from the event.

Andy Trigg of Whitegoods Help has posted an interesting article on how to reduce the bobbling or pilling on clothes produced during the laundry process.
He offers such tips as washing affected garments inside out, using fabric conditioner and line rather than tumble drying and concludes with the recommendation that anyone looking to purchase a new machine should consider Miele since its honeycomb drum is gentler on fabrics than the standard variety.
He’s also published pictures of the award-winning honeycomb design from an earlier review of a W3740 washing machine.

Is how Corin of the Digital Spy Forum describes Miele in response to asdigi’s request for recommendations for a new machine.
A big fan of Miele’s unique honeycomb-pattern drum she writes that it makes a big difference in the cleaning and treatment of clothes, while Lexy_86 also recommends Miele for its cleaning, energy efficiency and reliability and MeganG posts that her washing machine and dryer have provided years of service without breaking down.
