Is a Miele G1022 dishwasher worth the money?

It’s all very well getting a wonderful dishwasher, but the folk at hotukdeals.com are understandably rather concerned about the price they’re paying… The deal in question is voted 73% hot and it all goes back to the age old question – is quality worth paying for…?

pjk is obviously sold on the Miele G1022 dishwasher saying “I’d choose Miele over Bosch (or other major brand) any day. Even the cheapest Miele is an excellent piece of engineering and will do a superb job. They last for years too. Ours is 11 years old with no problems so far – and it looks like new inside and out as well.”

Ssvirk continues “Miele’s are one of the best Washing Machines & Tumble Dryers you can buy, but you pay the premium. ECG finds a Miele bargain!

ECG has found a super deal on a Miele Tumble Dryer, and in sharing her discovery with pals at the hotukdeals.com forum has stoked up some debate about the Miele brand as a whole. After all, as she points out, “you cannot beat Miele for build quality”.

XxGunnersxX agrees stating that he is going to let his “[other brand machine] go bang and when it does get a Miele, no 5 year warranty to pay!” RSteve suggests “Boiling hot [offer], excellent price and excellent brand that’ll last for years”.

I have had the Dishwasher 15 years and the washing machine 10 years and I have never had to get either repaired. No rust on either of them.”

Miele Cat & Dog vacuum – ‘too good a deal not to post’

Ferf1223 has recently purchased a Miele S7260 Cat & Dog vacuum cleaner, and having found a great deal felt the need to post about it on hotukdeals.com. It has provoked plenty of comments too.

Greatminds, obviously not a pet owner, questioned “Why would you want to vacuum a cat and dog?” while jaydeeuk1 suggested “We have a different model Miele. Brilliant piece of kit, far better than [another brand]”. Sponge too says “This is a great deal and hopefully others will be able to benefit too. If I didn’t already have a Miele vacuum, I’d be getting this one.”

Back to Ferf1223 though – who finishes up stating “In addition to how well it seems to pick up the cat hair, we’re also really impressed at how much fluffier the carpet feels – and it was my husband who first pointed it out…so you know it must be true.” Read the full conversation here.

Miele Prestige 6 washing machine – worth the money?

Perfidalbione is on the look out for new washing machines on hotukdeals.com, and “knows Miele are more expensive than other brands although you save afterward with extended warranty and you can argue they build better machines”.

Longbowassassin is quick to open the debate “Great product Miele… Had our washer/dryer more than ten years and still going strong”, Renown adding “you won’t beat these for washing machines”. Kankan is adamant that one should purchase a Miele if the money is available explaining “the Miele are way ahead in terms of quality compared to the competition, exceptionally effective cleaning and they will generally last you around 10-25 years”.

Matedodgy isn’t so sure, commenting “Nice deal for the rich” – but Kingy58 is not only keen to counter the argument, but do so in explicit terms. “Buy a £300 machine and replace it every few years or buy a £500 machine and have something that outlasts 3 cheap machines, to me that’s better value. But you carry on buying the cheap stuff that keeps breaking down, that way the shops won’t run out of quality goods for those of us that want them.”
