Vacuum Cleaners – Upright or Pull-Along?
There are often conversations on the choice of bag or bagless when it comes to discussing vacuum cleaners. An equally discussed topic is that which features on the NetMums thread Upright or Pull-along started by Maha A who needs new vacuum,
“I am not sure if I want another pull along one again or not, they are easier for vacuuming under beds sofas, 10 seater dining tables!!!”
So what is it for you? What do you prefer? The answers on the thread offer plenty of advice on both types but it is Angel D(7) who goes that bit further and places Miele in the mix,
“[…] if money allows and you want a vacuum that will actually pick up dust (how novel!), last for more than 5 years, not burn your house down / take the skin off your legs with heat and take a few knocks, BUY A MIELE!!!!
Upright OR pull-along. You won’t regret it!”

Netmum Tara recommends Miele
On the Netmums forum Joanne has had bad experiences with a washer/dryer and is looking for advice on buying a stand alone tumble dryer and Miele has been suggested.
Dorothy has happily offered some general advice on features to look for when buying a dryer, where as Tara has passed on her specific first hand knowledge of Miele,
“I have 5 children and even though I hang my washing out always when its good weather I also have to use my tumble dryer an awful lot for towels, bed linen and other “dryable” clothes and I have a Miele condenser dryer and it as absolutely my best friend (along with my Miele novatronic washing machine!). And although they are expensive new (few 2nd hand ones on eBay lately), I have had mine for a few years and its still fantastic.”

Miele Cat & Dog Vacuum changes lives on mumsnet!
The Miele Cat & Dog Vacuum has been brought up yet again on mumsnet, and has pulled up an interesting discussion point – namely the turbo head and whether it should be used on laminate flooring.
Reading the responses, the answer seems to be no, but steamedtreaclesponge has come up with an answer – assuring one that “they provide another head when you buy it for doing hard floors, as well as various other attachments for doing the furniture etc. Get one they are great!” MissisBoot concurs “OMG – I’ve just got it home and it’s amazing – I’ve never seen my carpets so clean. I’m normally such a slattern but this may change my life.”
Mums chose the Miele Cat & Dog?
Yesterday it was mumsnet, today we’re across to netmums who are having an in-depth discussion about vacuum recommendations
Cath H(20) is quick to point out that she has “a Miele cat and dog cylinder and this is absolutely fantastic, plus the customer service is brilliant too.” Debra h(3) has a Miele Cat & Dog too and “can second what Cath says. Brill vacuum, bit expensive but worth every penny I have had every hover there is and this beats all of them”.
Karen O(85) “agree(s) with the other Miele fans – we have had a Miele cylinder for 2 years now and its going strong” leaving Jemma B(20) with the result that “it’s sounding like Miele is the popular one”. Follow the conversation over here.
