Brief encounters – Miele S5260 vacuum cleaner review

“This machine is incredible – we cannot use it on its full power as it pulls up our carpet!”. So opens pingtiao’s review of the Miele S5260 over at Dooyoo.

Awarding the S5260 4/5 stars, pingtiao bought it to replace an old vacuum, after being “assured by the staff in John Lewis that it is better than a Dyson. We have not been disappointed at all.”

Describing the vacuum as “sturdily built”, but “a bit heavier than some other similar machines I have used”, the only short-coming he’s identified “is that the cleaning pole (not sure what they are called- the ridgid bit on the end) is quite short, and so I as a fairly tall man have to stoop when using it.”

Nethertheless, pingtiao heartily recommends the S5260 concluding his summary with it’s an “excellent vacuum cleaner.”

Brief encounters – Miele Cat & Dog S5260 vacuum cleaner review

A new review of the Miele S5260 Cat & Dog vacuum cleaner has popped up on review site Ciao! Written by ladytinkerbell, she likes the S5260 so much that she admits she “love[s] to hoover now!”

Describing the vacuum as an “excellent machine”, ladytinkerbell reports on how it is solid yet lightweight, how the metal tubes can be extended to a “fantastic length” and the head can be altered for different locations. She’s also impressed at the cleaning result, as it’s “amazing” on dog hair with the tools giving “great results” on sofas and curtains. She highlights the small brush tool as being particularly useful as she uses it everywhere including the skirting boards, door tops and even ceilings.

Though she mentions it’s a little bit “pricey”, she thinks it’s “well worth it” and wouldn’t want to use another vacuum cleaner “after experiencing this quality”. Head on over to read the full review here.

In another edition of our brief encounters series of user reviews, we have the briefest of encounters yet. Two guest users over at the Review Centre have each written the most fleeting of reviews of the S5260 vacuum.

Both reviewers give the vacuum full marks across durability, ease of use, style, service & support, value for money and overall value. Guest one is particularly impressed by the turbo brush and describes the machine as “Absolutely brilliant and I have had more expensive upright vacuum cleaners than this…”, while guest two loves the “good suction power”.
