The Miele S7 vacuum cleaner rocks
We see quite a few conversations on Miele vacuum cleaners here at Forever Better. However this latest recommendation isn’t so much of a conversation, more a statement.
It comes from Daniel of DanielMiessler.com,

“Susan’s latest obsession. The Miele S7. It rocks, so I hear.”
Daniel’s link goes to the Miele US site, but if you want to have a look at the S7 on these green and pleasant shores it can be found on the UK site too.
Do you own a S7? Let us know what you think…
The Miele S7 trial
Last summer we sent a Miele S7 on trial around a few homes of bloggers eager to test its credentials.
The model we sent out was the S7580 AutoCare HEPA Upright Vacuum Cleaner. The AutoCare Hepa actually vacuumed over two miles of carpet during its trip. Which we didn’t thing was bad going at all. Below are a selection of the guys who were incvolved with the trial.
While with LaundryBasketCase the S7 got a full and thorough reviewing and it came out the other side looking good,
“Yes, I was well chuffed with how well the Miele performed. I felt it sucked up all the dog hairs, human hairs, bits of garden soil, and dog biscuit crumbs in a jiffy.”
The Dotteral though decided it wasn’t for him, due mainly to the weight of it and the ‘jet-engine’ noise it produced when starting up, but was happy to say,
“[…] it certainly does the job.”
Finally we have Backwards in High Heels, who had make sure that her mum didn’t steal the S7, so happy was she with the ease of which the vacuum could be driven. There’s a video of the action here.
We’re looking to do more trials throughout 2010 on a variety of Miele products, but we’d really like to hear from you on what they should be. Do you want another vacuum, a Cat and Dog maybe? If you’ve got an idea or would like to be involved get in touch through email or leave us a comment below.
Miele S7 fully tested and reviewed
A few weeks ago foreverbetter.co.uk sent a Miele S7 vacuum cleaner winging its way to the popular home-keeping blog, the linen cupboard, where it has been under intense scrutiny ever since. Today marks the appearance of the full (and very comprehensive) review, with before and after pictures, stubborn tests and more.
Focussing on what makes this Miele vacuum special, the authoress comments on the “nifty little front lights”, ability for the vacuum to go “completely flat”, the fact that “the bag can take loads of dirt” and adjustable suction. She also asks, “What vacuum do you use? Are you happy with it, and would you be happy spending on a vacuum?” Pop over and comment.
Miele washing machines recommended
“We have only had our Miele since last Thursday but I am pretty happy with it so far” says claireh in response to TopStar’s question on damsels.org about whether one should look into purchasing a new Miele washing machine. “I’ve got a Miele washing machine and it is fab. Definitely worth the money and I would recommend them” adds Teresa, whilst Skerryberry concurs saying “I also love my Miele.”
An update also comes from current ‘Mile a Miele’ trialist The Linen Cupboard blog; “I’ve been playing around some more with the MieleS7 vacuum cleaner – I’m almost ready to do that post. Phew, it’s a busy time of year, but now I’m off to watch an episode of “Monday Monday” with Mr. L, it’s our Monday night switch-off time.” We look forward to it Mrs. L!
Miele S7 – the Desperate Housewives Bree of vacuum cleaners
As you may know – foreverbetter.co.uk currently have a Miele S7 traversing the country clocking up the miles as it’s tested by social media types who have kindly agreed to put it through its paces. Its just arrived at the-linen-cupboard.blogspot.com to much excitement it would seem, “it feels like I’ve just been handed the keys of an Aston Martin and told to test drive it… scary!”
And she’s all ready to go… “I shall be testing this Aston Martin of a vacuum cleaner alongside my trusty, dusty VAX and I’ll keep you posted. I’ve (purposefully) not been vacuuming our rug downstairs for the past week – gross I know, but I need to do this properly.” Keep an eye on the blog, and submit your suggestions if you have any ideas.
