Miele Cat & Dog vacuum – ‘too good a deal not to post’

Ferf1223 has recently purchased a Miele S7260 Cat & Dog vacuum cleaner, and having found a great deal felt the need to post about it on hotukdeals.com. It has provoked plenty of comments too.

Greatminds, obviously not a pet owner, questioned “Why would you want to vacuum a cat and dog?” while jaydeeuk1 suggested “We have a different model Miele. Brilliant piece of kit, far better than [another brand]”. Sponge too says “This is a great deal and hopefully others will be able to benefit too. If I didn’t already have a Miele vacuum, I’d be getting this one.”

Back to Ferf1223 though – who finishes up stating “In addition to how well it seems to pick up the cat hair, we’re also really impressed at how much fluffier the carpet feels - and it was my husband who first pointed it out…so you know it must be true.” Read the full conversation here.

Miele vacuums for under £100 on Overclockers?

There has been plenty of discussion around vacuum cleaners on Overclockers forum over the last few days, and Miele has picked up a number of recommendations to DantheMan’s request for a bagless vacuum under £100. Sherpa suggests “A bit above your budget is the Miele S4211, again bagged but a great machine and Miele quality” – while Angilion warns Dan of his request for bagless models in general, suggesting “You have fuss with filters instead”.

BigT meanwhile is strident in his support for Miele as a brand saying “Miele S380 can be had for £100. I don’t know that much about that specific model but the Miele I have is infinitely better as a vacuum cleaner than any of the [other brands]”. Arknor meanwhile suggests “getting a Miele cat and dog [vacuum] like [his] parents have”. Go and have your say over here, or let us know what you think below.

Has your vacuum lost its suck – mumsnet suggest a Miele!

Mumsnet.com is ablaze with vacuum cleaner passions today, as [a competitors] model of vacuum has lost its suck, leaving swathes of discussion in its wake. Bigbellylady is one of the first to react, suggesting that she has “been converted to Miele - just bought one and it is fab” – whilst MadHairDay has just “bought a Miele and [is] converted for life. Sooooo much better suction, easier to clean without all the faff, I heartily recommend”

Oldraver doesn’t have a Miele herself but “uses [her] friends Miele and it is much better” and SomeGuy “Would recommend Miele”. To see all 29 posts and have your say though, head on over to mumsnet.com and have your say.

The Dotterel walks a mile (or so) with the Miele S7

Stay at home Dad The Dotterel has been trialing the Miele S7, and while bemoaning the fact that it may not be a trip to Florida, has clearly been putting it through its paces – clocking up 2 km of vacuum-related exercise.

Despite finding it a heavy machine to operate, there is no doubt that some elements of the vacuum have really caught the eye, with the “groovy twisty handle thingy” and fact that it’s “built to last” mentioned in detail. Unfortunately it seems it’s not the vacuum for him, although one of 12 commenters Jennysmith says “Well I for one would love to get my mitts on that vacuum cleaner”.

Miele vacuums are big in Lowestoft

Lowestoft Online’s gadgets and gizmos forum thread has headed distinctly down the house proud route of late, and since Cybetra’s assertion that “Other people have always said how much better a Miele Cat & Dog vac is than any other machine at picking up the pet hairs”, the conversation has been flowing.

Eileen piped up to herald thoughts about her vacuum “Miele are excellent”, whilst Triggerbought one a few months ago, and it’s the best vacuum cleaner that [he’s] had”. This has led Gary to suggest he will “certainly take a look at the Miele cleaners”! Pop over to see further discussion, and if you live anywhere near Lowestoft, join immediately!
