Back in July we covered a story over on UK Whitegoods about a passionate discussion on which was the best washing machine: the Miele W3922 or the ISE10?
Five months on and broadswordsman was in urgent need of a new machine after his Bosch bit the dust. After reading through the lengthy previous discussion and despite his reservations over “the unsubstantiated spares price arguments without a definitive comparison” on the ISE10 he was “prepared to take that on trust particularly as Miele prices are so high.”
Convinced it was the best choice he set about making his purchase, however this is where his problems began. Unable to find a local agent and inspite his attempts at email contact his questions over stock availability and after-sales service remained unanswered. By his own admission: “my heart said ISE10 but my head said Miele” he gave up on ISE10 dealer network and plumped for the Miele. As he concludes: “I guess when the Miele needs repair, it will cost me (after the 10 year guarantee expires) but at least I have confidence it will have the infrastructure to support me.”

On Friday we posted a brief round-up of our London Fashion Weekend event. Now that our guests have had time to rest weary legs and digest the events of the day, the first of the retrospectives from the attendees have now been published on their respective blogs.
Fashion Stylist Kate from Made Do And Mend, has posted the first of her thoughts including experiencing the rose petal test for herself, the W3922, Miele’s famous stocking test and the “sheer bliss for me to discuss washing machines, vacuum cleaners and even cooking utensils.”
Rather than spoil it for everyone by quoting her at length, pop over to her blog and see for yourself.

Over at UK Whitegoods an interesting debate on the Miele W3922 washing machine vs. the ISE10 has started and both sides have their own vociferous supporters.
The discussion arose after IncredibleMrT asked which was the better of the two. Penguin45 replied that both Miele and Asko (who manufacture for ISE) are the only two “absolutely top quality manufacturers left supplying the European market”. After IncredibleMrT mentions he’s now purchased the W3922, adamhornsby tells him that “Miele are also twice award winners for best domestic appliance brand” and that it should serve him well. IncredibleMrT goes on to say “it was a good price, 10 year warranty and the missus liked the look of it”.
IncredibleMrT may have made his decision to buy the W3922 already, but there’s still plenty of interesting conversation to read in the thread. If you’ve any opinions or advice of your own, head over to the thread and let the UK Whitegoods readers know.
