MSE and Which? say Miele top the washing machine charts

shudd1967 is in need of a new washing machine, and has asked for recommendations in a Money Saving Expert forum thread.

negg gives a real world example from a friend who worked in electrical retail who often saw customers returning to replace other branded machines, but those who bought Miele were never seen again. klb posts a list of Which? trial results of various machines, and the Miele models clearly top the charts holding the top 3 places. Who needs a more ringing endorsement than that?

d.o.n. of diynot.com forums is thinking of fitting his kitchen with all sorts of Miele products, but being the considerate consumer has decided to pop into a forum to check out the responses first. JohnD has provided a full response stating “Miele is good if you can afford it” before reeling off some information for him courtesy of Which.  

“Miele is currently the undisputed king of our washing machines tests. Few can match its consistently high scoring and reliable freestanding and built-in washing machines.”

Meanwhile, on Amazon – S. Garrington feels let down by a rival washing machine and is keen to move over to Miele as soon as possible…

Pet fans looking to clean house

“Hi pet fans” begins technology_love on digitalspy.co.uk who is looking for a vacuum cleaner that does a good job sucking up pet hair. Dmwat is quick to respond, suggesting that “Miele cat & Dog, I’ve had it about 10 years and it’s great with cat and dog hairs”, while Druid_uk suggests that it is “cheaper than Dyson, more powerful and better review in Which?”

“Miele is a great brand and will beat all [another brand] products not just vacuums. I have had the Miele cat and dog for years now after trying countless others and would not consider changing” says max25. The jury is still out though, so make your opinions heard over on Digital Spy.

Lyrrad searching for ‘hot UK’ Miele deals – he thinks he’s found them

Lyrradhas been doing some research on where to find the best deals on the Miele G1152SC dishwasher in Polaris White, and has come up with enough information for davilown to brand his work as an “excellent post -hot!” on hotukdeals.com.

Guilbert53 chimes in “Whenever Which magazine do a review of ‘white goods’ (washing machines, dishwashers etc) then Miele always come out on top”. Krjgreen added that he “was so impressed with the washing machine from them [that he] will always buy Miele from now on” leaving Broxy to wrap it up. “Heat and rep, great price for a quality appliance.”

Jenner asks which dishwasher? Smeg or Miele

Jenner’s a big fan of Smeg appliances, but after reading so-so reviews is prepared to widen her net to find the ideal appliance, and has put her questions to moneysavingexpert.com.

Twinklyrach is quick to vouch that almost “all of [her] appliances are Miele” while lovincoupons suggests it’s a trend to follow… “I would go with a German make. Miele or something”. Mvteng loves her Smeg cooker, but after problems with the dishwasher, has “now been replaced with a Miele which has been faultless for the first year of its life.”
