Jasper Garvida Competition
It’s your last chance to win some tickets!
Our competition to win one of five pairs of tickets to Jasper Garvida’s London Fashion show courtesy of Miele is coming to an end. We have received some fantastic entries so far, but we are giving you another day to enter. Take a look at the pictures of one of Jasper’s fashion shows for some encouragement!
All you need to do is send us an email telling us why you would like to win a pair of tickets to Jasper’s show.
Good luck, we will be announcing the winners on Wednesday.
Don’t forget about the Miele Fashion Prize competition. The winner of which will be working with Jasper to create a dress that will be modeled at an exclusive fashion event during the summer. If that wasn’t enough they’ll also receive £1000 worth of Miele appliances for their home! You can see the dress from last year’s winner here, worn by Camilla Dallerup of Strictly Come Dancing fame. We’ve got more coming soon on the 2010 Miele Fashion Prize so be sure to check back.
Miele washing machines in debate on moneysavingexpert.com
“At first I wanted a Miele because from everything I’ve read they are the Rolls Royce of washing machines but my uncle advised me to avoid” said Dane Gerous on the money saving expert forum – before requesting information on what the general consensus of opinion was.
Ormus was quick to chime in relaying that he suggested obtaining “a Miele from John Lewis, with a free 5 yr warranty thrown in or buy 4 x Indesits instead”, with mwillets equally convinced: “Personally I would go for a Miele every time. I have very little problems with them, unlike a lot of the other manufacturers. – Their machines are really built to last.”
The discussion, which can be fully observed and digested over here, has led to Dane gerous suggesting “I don’t know whether to go with a Miele” – exciting times… Keep an eye on the forum for the resolution.
Miele washing machines – worth the money?
Amid discussion of “fault codes mean on washing machines?” over on theit.org forum, more discussion of Miele has come up – and more importantly whether the price is worth it for the quality of machine.
It seems the answer is an almost unequivocal yes.
DR2336 suggests that one should “Buy a Miele … it came with a free 10 year part and labour warranty and it’s made to last 20yrs” and bertieboo is “looking into buying a Miele at this very moment” as he “know[‘s] someone who had a Miele last year and she said it rinses better than anything she’s had in recent years”.
But it’s DR2336 who has the final word on the matter, saying that “£700 over 20 yrs isn’t an expensive machine as a 10yrs service contract would cost you most of that these days.” Join the conversation here.
