Miele washer dryer in MSE discussion

The Miele washer dryer has been discussed by two contributors on the Money Saving Expert thread ‘Is a separate washer & dryer more efficient than combined?’

The first is KarateDragon who adds to the conversation that,

“I really like my Washer Dryer. I live in a flat so it saves space. Mine’s a Miele.”

In response to this Pincher notes that it is well worth keeping an eye out for warranty offers on the Miele models. They also add,

“I bought a Miele WT2670 non-integrated […] and had a fascia custom made. This saved a little money, with no compromise in capacity.

The WT2670 is almost as good as a separate dryer, but can only handle half the load.”

Miele Novotronic WT2670 washing machine “highly recommended”

It’s quite something to be branded “my favourite household appliance”, but that’s exactly what Diane of ciao.co.uk says about the Miele Novotronic WT2670 washing machine. She may have initially been reticent about price, but “it has so many features and it cleans so well that I say it worth the money I paid for it.”

The fitter was obviously impressed too. “The mechanic said, we won’t meet again, because by the time the first repair will be due he will be retired. Let’s hope he was right. Anyway, there is 5 year warranty on it.”

We’ve posted two previous reviews of the Miele WT2670 Washer Dryer from the Review Centre on Forever Better and can now bring you a third courtesy of eosman who’s contributed the most detailed write-up to date.

Awarding the WT2670 full marks for ease of use and durability, 9/10 for Service and Overall Value and 8/10 for Style, eosman – who’s only had the machine for a few days – has been sufficiently impressed by its ease of use and versatility, coping “…very well with 3 months unwashed clothing and more within the last 5 days since we received it…” and build quality to express his thoughts so early on. His only concern so far is that “…clothes also tend not to dry completely at times…”, but does admit that it “…may mean a wrong programme was in use, or the drum is overloaded.”

Brief encounters – Miele WT2670 washer dryer review part 2

A new review of the Miele WT2670 washer dryer has popped up on Review Centre, receiving full marks in every category listed.

You may recall a previous write-up way back in April that was similarly positive and the guest author of this latest review thinks the WT2670 is “a brilliant machine”, listing a number of good points including ease of use, extensive programmes and the “excellent wash results”. The author is also impressed by the machine telling you “how much detergent you need based on the programme and weight of load”.

“Don’t even bother to waste your money on a cheaper alternative” concludes the author. He’s had a Miele for 15 years and it’s still working “brilliantly” today despite never having been serviced. Head on over for the full review here.

Brief encounters – Miele WT2670 washer dryer review

In the second of our brief encounters reviews, sideshow bob from the Review Centre has posted his thoughts on the WT2670 washer dryer after twelve months use.

Despite using it three times a week he describes the machine as “…still running like new” and provides “excellent washing and drying results”. He’s also impressed by the build quality and the basic five-year parts and labour warranty which can extended to ten years by simply returning the warranty card to Miele.

Comparing the WT2670 to his previous Hotpoint and Hoover appliances he describes the Miele as “…simply outstanding” and gives it the Review Centre ‘thumbs-up’.
